The importance of ESG management is increasing in relation to social responsible investment. The government is demanding that companies make ESG-related disclosures mandatory. The government included ESG-related indicators in the management evaluation system to help public institutions strengthen ESG management. This study examined stakeholder theory, ESG-related prior research, and performance management theory as a theoretical background. I figured out what ESG-related indicators are in the government's management evaluation system. In this study, the ESG-related management evaluation indicators selected were job growth and equal opportunities, safety and disaster management, win-win cooperation and regional development, ethical management, and board of directors operations. The purpose of this study is to help public institutions establish a performance management system for each management evaluation indicator. Specifically, best practices and performance indicators for each ESG-related management evaluation indicator were derived from the PDCA perspective. This study specifically addressed practical alternatives so that public institutions can appropriately respond to management evaluation and effectively manage ESG performance. The last part of the paper presented the implications and limitations of this study.
